These are pictures of my family. Greg is my husband. We have been married for 28 years. He is owner and a partner in the business, Window World of Savannah. Victoria, age 24, is my daughter. She recently graduated from Armstrong State University and passed her State Boards as a Registered Nurse. She begins working in the Emergency Department at St. Josephs Candler Hospital at the Candler Hospital location. Matthew, age 26, is my son. He runs our South Carolina office in our family business, Window World of Savannah. Of course, last but not least are my precious furry children, Bailey Boy and Layla Bell. I enjoy spending time with my family, attending a local church on the island, going to the beach, camping, and playing with my dogs. I have a special love for animals and enjoy helping charity organizations for homeless animals.
My name is Debbie Sasser. I have been teaching Kindergarten since 1985. My undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education came from Georgia Southern University. My graduate degree is also in Early Childhood Education and is from Armstrong State University. I have a passion for teaching children and helping them learn at the highest levels. I have been blessed to be a part of the May Howard Hawk family, teaching here since 1989. I am so glad you have chosen May Howard Elementary School as your choice in educating your child. Thank you for sharing your child with me this year. I am so happy and blessed to be working with and watching your child grow and learn. As each day of the school year passes, we learn and grow as a team and we become a family. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to teach and be a part of your child's life. We will have a wonderful and successful school year! On another personal note, I have just announced my decision to retire on June 1, 2019. I have bitter sweet feelings with great emotion. Teaching and loving children has been such an important part of my life for so very long. It will be difficult to leave but I plan to come back in the fall and volunteer. Also, in January of 2020, I plan to substitute as a teacher here at May Howard. Thank you for making my last official year such a special one.
